The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore invites applications from motivated and eligible candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) – ARG funded research project. The project focuses on developing next-generation communication technologies for beyond 6G wireless networks.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with expertise in Communication Systems, Signal Processing, AI/ML, Software Defined Radio (SDR), and Wireless Communications.

Project Title

Enabling Next-Generation Last-Meter Connectivity: Design and Analysis of PASS

The selected candidate will contribute to the design and development of advanced communication systems aimed at enabling reliable and efficient last-meter connectivity for future wireless communication networks.

Research Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work on:

• Design and analysis of PASS-based systems for beyond 6G communications.

• Algorithm development.

• Implementation using Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms.

Candidates with knowledge of Communication Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), SDR, and Mathematics are highly encouraged to apply.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Details

Duration

• Initial appointment will be for one year.

• Extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Fellowship

• INR 42,000 per month

• 20% HRA as applicable.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Ph.D. or Master's Degree in relevant disciplines such as:

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Mathematics

  • Microwave Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Or equivalent disciplines.

Candidates with a valid GATE qualification will be preferred.

Age Limit

Age limit and relaxation will be applicable as per DST/Institute norms. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be provided as per Government of India rules.

Additional Opportunity
