The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is inviting applications from motivated and qualified candidates for project-based research positions under a multidisciplinary project focused on policy and sustainability ecosystems.

Project Overview

• Project Title: Technological Innovation and Intellectual Property

• Core Objectives: The study analyzes the technological innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) ecosystem. It focuses on evaluating various Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policy interventions designed by the government to incentivize sustainable environmental practices (related to water, waste, agriculture, and climate change) and innovation activities across academia, corporate sectors, and SMEs.

• Project Duration: The initial appointment is valid until September 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on institute performance metrics and funding agency guidelines.

Position Details & Eligibility

Candidates can apply for either the JRF or the RA position depending on their qualifications:

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Number of Openings: 01

• Stipend: INR. 37,000/month + HRA (as per DST rules)

• Educational Eligibility: * Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • Eligible Fields: Water / Environment / Economics / Public Policy / Management / Development Studies or related areas.

  • Academic Grade: First Class.

  • Mandatory National Exam: Must have qualified GATE / CSIR-UGC NET / CSIR-UGC LS / INSPIRE.

2. Research Associate (RA)

• Number of Openings: 01

• Stipend (Consolidated): Based on the DST salary structure, categorized by selection committee evaluation:

  • Research Associate-I: INR. 58,000 / month

  • Research Associate-II: INR. 61,000 / month

  • Research Associate-III: INR. 67,000 / month

• Educational Eligibility: Ph.D. degree OR 3 years of research, teaching, and design/policy experience after an ME/M.Tech.

• Publication Requirement: At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal in a relevant field.
