The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore invites applications from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Research Associate-I (RA-I) under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) project. Project Title

Collective Resilience: Harnessing Swarm Intelligence Against Byzantine Faults

The research project focuses on developing swarm intelligence-based approaches for building resilient systems against Byzantine faults. The selected candidate will contribute to algorithm design, implementation, simulations, experimentation, technical documentation, and research publications.

Duration of Appointment

• Initial appointment for one year.

• Extendable up to 36 months or until project completion, subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or an equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics & Computing, or related disciplines.

OR

• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree may also apply.

OR

• Candidates with M.E./M.Tech. and at least one research paper published in an SCI journal.

Applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed under the ANRF/DST Research Associate guidelines.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Machine Learning

• Swarm Intelligence

• Distributed Systems

• Simulations

• Research publications in related domains

Fellowship

Selected candidates will receive fellowship as per ANRF norms:

• INR 58,000 per month + HRA (RA-I)

• INR 61,000 per month + HRA (RA-II)

• INR 69,600 per month + HRA (RA-III)

The applicable fellowship level will be determined based on qualifications and experience. HRA will be provided as per institute/project norms.

Age Limit

Age limit and relaxation will be applicable as per ANRF/DST and IIT Indore norms.
