The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites applications for 02 Project Associate-I (Product Design) positions under the research project titled “SWASTH: Smart Assistive Product System for Foot Health” in the Department of Design. Selection will be conducted through an online interview.

Position Overview

Project Title

“SWASTH: Smart Assistive Product System for Foot Health”

The project is being undertaken in the Department of Design, IIT Guwahati and focuses on the development of smart assistive product systems related to foot health.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• M.Des. in Product Design

OR

• M.Des. in an allied/relevant field.

Applicants should ensure that they satisfy the prescribed academic requirements before submitting their applications.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates with the following may be particularly suitable for the project:

• Background in Product Design

• Experience in assistive or healthcare product development

• Product prototyping and design research skills

• Knowledge of user-centred design approaches

• Relevant project or research experience in allied design areas

Selection Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on the prescribed eligibility requirements.

• Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email on 27 August 2026.

• Final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the online interview.

• The online interview is scheduled for 28 August 2026 at 10:00 AM.
