IIT Guwahati Invites Applications for JRF (GATE) Position in Structural Engineering

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF - GATE) under the sponsored research project titled:

"Low-Cost Hybrid Yielding Dampers and ML-Based Fragility Modeling for Seismic Strengthening of Non-Ductile RC OGS Frames"

The project is being conducted in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Guwahati.

Position Details

• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF - GATE)

• Number of Vacancies: 01

• Department: Civil Engineering

• Project Duration: 11 Months

Fellowship

• Pay: INR 37,000 per month

• HRA: INR 7,400 per month

• Medical Allowance: Nil

• Total Monthly Emoluments: INR 44,400

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• M.E./M.Tech. in Structural Engineering, Structural Dynamics, or Earthquake Engineering

• Valid GATE/NET qualification

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in Python programming

• Experience with large-scale experimental testing
