Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:
M.E./M.Tech. in:
Materials Science and Engineering
Materials Engineering
Metallurgical Engineering
Ceramic Engineering
OR
M.Sc. in Physics
Additional Requirement
Candidates with an M.Sc. Physics background must possess a valid GATE score.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who:
Are highly motivated to perform both computational and experimental research.
Have a strong conceptual background in:
Materials Engineering
Physics
Electronic Materials
Possess excellent communication and scientific writing skills.
Have experience using:
Vacuum deposition systems
Thin-film fabrication tools
RF Magnetron Sputtering techniques
Job Responsibilities
The selected Junior Research Fellow will be involved in:
Thin-film deposition using RF magnetron sputtering.
Development of Superconductor-Insulator-Superconductor (SIS) thin-film stacks.
Microstructural characterization of deposited films.
Electrical property measurements and analysis.
Experimental and computational research related to THz applications.
Preparation of technical reports and research publications.
