The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai has invited applications from eligible Indian nationals for the positions of Project Assistant and Project Associate-II under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project. The project focuses on developing advanced UAV Traffic Management (UTM) systems for fixed-wing UAV integration into Indian airspace.

Project Title

Strategic Air Corridor Design and Traffic Management for Fixed-Wing UAV Integration in Indian Airspace

Project Details

The project aims to develop a next-generation UAV Traffic Management (UTM) framework for long-range fixed-wing UAVs. Research activities include:

• Strategic air corridor design for safe and efficient traffic management

• Cooperative guidance algorithms for UAV operations

• Mathematical modelling and path planning

• Control systems, simulations, and experimental validation

• Applications in logistics, disaster response, medical supply delivery, and regional air mobility

Available Positions

Project Assistant

Duration: 12 Months (extendable based on project performance)

Salary: INR 27,000 per month + 20% HRA

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or

• 3-Year Diploma in Engineering & Technology or

• Engineering Graduate

Desired Skills

• Strong foundation in Mathematics (10th & 12th level)

• Fundamentals of Control Systems

• MATLAB

• Python programming

Role

Selected candidates will assist with:

• Simulation studies

• UAV experiments

• Data analysis

• Project documentation
