Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is inviting applications from qualified Indian nationals for the position of Research Associate - I in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. This is a purely ad-hoc, contractual position for a duration of 11 months under an SRC project.

Role Summary & Responsibilities

The institute is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI-powered surveillance models for real-time security applications. Key responsibilities include designing real-time AI models for surveillance using computer vision, building deep learning models for edge and cloud systems, and ensuring model robustness across diverse real-world conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in AI/ML or Computer Vision.

• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, and Deep Learning frameworks. Experience with Object detection and Face recognition systems is required.
