Essential Qualification

Applicants should possess a PhD in any area of Life Sciences.

Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree may also apply.

Applicants should also demonstrate high-quality research experience in infectious diseases during or after their PhD, supported by at least one first-author publication in a reputed peer-reviewed journal indexed in databases such as Scopus or PubMed.

Desirable Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:

• Mammalian cell culture

• Recombinant protein expression and purification

• Gene-expression studies

• Virus research

• Molecular biology techniques

Fellowship

INR 58,000 per month plus 10% HRA for candidates who have been awarded a PhD and can produce the degree certificate.

INR 42,000 per month plus 10% HRA for candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree.

A minor research grant will also be available under the programme.

Tenure

The initial appointment will be for six months and may be extended for another six months based on performance review and project requirements.

Age Limit

Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age as on the closing date of the advertisement.
