Fellowship & Remuneration

The monthly fellowship amount is determined based on the status of the candidate's doctoral degree completion:

• With Ph.D. Degree Certificate: INR 58,000 per month + 9% HRA

• Thesis Submitted & Ph.D. Award Awaited: INR 42,000 per month + 9% HRA

  • Note: Candidates whose degree is awaited must produce an official letter from a competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending.

• Additional Benefits: A nominal research grant will also be made available under this program.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree: Ph.D. degree in any area of Life Sciences.

  • Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of their Ph.D. degree are also eligible to apply.

• Research Quality: Applicants should provide clear evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph.D. program.

Desirable Experience

• Prior hands-on experience with gene editing.

• Practical exposure to Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation in rice.

Age Limit

• Maximum 35 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.

Tenure & Key Dates

• Tenure: The position is temporary for One year, with a possible extension for an additional six months following a performance review.
