IISER Pune Recruitment 2026 | Project Associate-I Positions Under Funded Research Projects

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune has invited applications for Project Associate-I positions under two funded research projects. These opportunities are offered on a purely temporary and contractual basis and provide excellent exposure to cutting-edge research in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Hydrogen Energy, and Sustainable Technologies.

1. Project Associate-I Recruitment (Advertisement No. 35/2026)

Project Details

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent four-year engineering degree in:

  • Computer Engineering

  • Information Technology

  • Related disciplines

• Degree must be obtained from a recognized University/Institute.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong academic record.

• Proficiency in programming and computational methods.

• Interest in interdisciplinary research involving computational biology and genomics.

Fellowship

As per project and institute norms.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will contribute to computational and bioinformatics research focused on understanding and validating topologically associated domain (TDA) boundary sequences and related genomic structures.

2. Project Associate-I Recruitment (Advertisement No. 36/2026)

Project Details

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry

• Minimum CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent grade/percentage.

Fellowship

• INR 30,000 per month

• Plus 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA)

Tenure

• Initially for 1 year.

• Extendable based on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
