The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, has invited applications for the position of Research Associate-II (RA-II) under an ISRO-sponsored research project led by Dr. Chandrakanta Ojha at the Spatial Research Systems Laboratory (SRSLab).

Project Title:
Multi-Model-Geodetic Approach Investigating Coastal Land Subsidence Effects to Sea Level Rise (MGICLS)

The project focuses on understanding the impacts of coastal land subsidence and sea-level rise through advanced geodetic and multi-model approaches. The research involves the application of geospatial technologies and computational methods to address critical environmental challenges associated with changing coastal systems.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in any of the following disciplines:

• Microwave Remote Sensing

• Applied Geoscience

• Geophysics

• Geodesy

• Physics

• Computer Science

• Information Technology

• Data Science

• Civil Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Geotechnical Engineering

• Environmental Engineering

• Any other closely related field

Research Areas

The Research Associate-II will be expected to:

• Prepare scientific reports, research papers, and project deliverables.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and contribute to project objectives.
