IISER Bhopal Recruitment 2026: Apply for JRF/SRF Positions Under SERB Core Research Grant Project

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has invited applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions under a SERB Core Research Grant (CRG) funded research project in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The project provides an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in spintronics, nanoelectronics, and electronic device research.

Position Details

• Posts: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Department: Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

• Funding Agency: SERB Core Research Grant (CRG)

Project Title

Energy-efficient Antiferromagnetic Spintronics

Fellowship

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): INR 37,000 per month + HRA

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): INR 42,000 per month + HRA

Essential Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Candidates should possess:

• M.Tech./M.E./M.S./M.Sc. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institute/university.

• Minimum 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 or above (or equivalent).

Additionally, candidates must have qualified through one of the following:

• CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship)

• GATE

• National-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc, IISER, etc.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Candidates should possess the qualifications prescribed for JRF along with two years of research experience.

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in handling experimental equipment for electronic device fabrication

• Strong motivation to pursue research in future nanoelectronics

Project Duration

• Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements, funding availability, and performance.

• The position may also provide an opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at IISER Bhopal.
