The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF Advanced Research Grant (ARG) project titled:

“EPOCH: Exploring Potential of Advanced MRAM-Based Cache Architectures for Performance-Optimized Secure Heterogeneous Computing.”

Position Details

• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Project Duration: 12 Months

About the Project

The project focuses on leveraging next-generation Magnetic Random Access Memory (MRAM) technologies to improve the performance-per-watt efficiency and security of heterogeneous computing systems. The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in advanced computer architecture and secure computing technologies.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in:

  • Computer Science (CS)

  • Information Technology (IT)

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

  • Electrical Engineering (EE)

  • Or related disciplines

Additionally, applicants should have:

• A strong academic record (First Class/Division or minimum CGPA of 7.0/10).

• Valid GATE or NET qualification at the time of application.

Required Skills

Applicants should have knowledge and experience in:

• Programming in C/C++ and Python

• Data Structures and Algorithms

• Computer Architecture and Computer Organization

• Familiarity with Linux, Git, Docker, Verilog, and Software Development Practices

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month + HRA (18%)
