IIM Raipur Recruitment 2026: Research Associate Opening for East Central Railway Project

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) has announced an opening for a contract-based research position. The selected professional will work on a strategic project titled "Assessment of freight traffic and strategy to improve market share for East Central Railway".

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) on data-driven policy design and freight logistics strategy.

Project & Position Overview

• Job Title: Research Associate / Data Analyst / Project Scientist

• Position Type: Contractual for 9 months (with an option to extend depending on further project requirements).

• Salary: Negotiable, based on individual qualifications and academic experience.

• Mode of Selection: Written test and/or personal interview of the shortlisted candidates only.

Core Responsibilities

The selected candidate will contribute actively to the successful execution of the project through the following tasks:

• Fieldwork & Data Collection: Conducting field visits and interacting with stakeholders for primary data collection; gathering and managing relevant secondary data sources.

• Data Management: Collecting, compiling, cleaning, and managing large datasets from multiple sources.

• Analytical Modelling: Performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis using advanced analytical tools and software.

• Reporting & Strategy: Assisting in literature reviews, documentation, interpreting research findings, and preparing insight reports to support policy and strategic recommendations.

• Coordination: Collaborating closely with the PI and Co-PI to coordinate research activities, prepare presentations, and draft the final project reports.
