IIM Bangalore Recruitment 2026: Senior Research Associate Opening (Jal Jeevan Mission)

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), a premier graduate school of management in Asia and an Institute of National Importance, has announced a vacancy for a Senior Research Associate position. The role is tied directly to the Jal Jeevan Mission initiatives.

Selected professionals will work under the guidance of the Jal Jeevan Mission Chair Professor to carry out high-quality empirical and applied research within the rural drinking water and sanitation sector.

Purpose & Principal Accountabilities

The role is designed to address sectoral challenges and facilitate achievements like 'Har Ghar Jal' and 'ODF Plus' in rural India through empirical research, capacity building, and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting field research projects and structured capacity-building exercises.

• Manage data collection and utilize statistical tools/MS Excel for robust data analysis.

• Assist in preparing draft research reports and organizing institutional training programmes.

• Coordinate with field stakeholders, deliver periodic reports, and present analytical findings.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

• Eligible Degrees: MBA / M.A. / M.S. / M.Phil. in Economics.

Key Skill & Ability Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong familiarity with qualitative/quantitative research issues and data collection methods.

• High proficiency in statistical tools for data analysis and report generation (Excellent MS Excel skills are a must).

• Confident, self-motivated profile with superior analytical skills and an eye for details.
