Research Opportunities 2026: Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML)

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML) has released official notifications inviting applications for various contractual research positions across its Lucknow and Noida campuses. 1. Research Associate & Senior Research Assistant (Project-Based)

Location: IIM Lucknow - Noida Campus.

Project Title: Impact of management practices on business performance of home stay owners of Sikkim, India.

Job Location: Sikkim, India, with frequent travel to Noida, Delhi-NCR, and other areas as required.

Tenure: Three (03) months.

Available Positions:

Research Associate - Grade B (01 Position): Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and a Post-Graduate/Masters degree from a reputed institute in regular mode with a minimum of 60% marks. Salary: Rs. 60,000/- per month plus applicable HRA.

Senior Research Assistant (01 Position): Candidates must hold a Post-Graduate/MBA degree from a reputed institute with a minimum of 60% marks and have at least 02-years of full-time work experience. Salary: Rs. 50,000/- per month plus applicable HRA.

2. Senior Research Associate / Research Associate (Decision Science Area)

Location: IIM Lucknow Campus.

Principal Investigator: Prof. Deepak Prajapati.

Tenure: Initial contract of 11 months, extendable based on performance and institute requirements.

Eligibility & Experience: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Statistics, Management (with specialization in statistics), or a relevant field. An excellent academic record with First Class performance throughout is mandatory. Candidates must have at least one research publication in a peer-reviewed journal. For the Senior Research Associate position, a minimum of 3 years of research experience is required. Command over R/MATLAB/Python coding and statistical tools is highly desirable.

Remuneration: A consolidated monthly fellowship ranging from Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- (depending on qualifications and post-PhD experience), plus applicable HRA.

3. Senior Research/Academic Assistant (Economics and Business Environment Area)

Location: IIM Lucknow Campus.

Principal Investigator: Prof. Kartik Yadav.

Tenure: Initial contract of six months, which may be extended based on performance.

Eligibility & Experience: Applicants must hold at least a Master's degree in Economics with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates with strong training in econometrics, data handling, and academic writing will be preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, particularly in research-oriented roles, is desirable.

Remuneration: A consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 50,000/- plus applicable HRA.
