The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) has invited applications for the position of Research Associate / Project Associate / Consultancy Associate for a consultancy engagement with the North-Eastern Railway.

The selected candidate will support research, data collection, statistical analysis, literature review and preparation of research reports to contribute to evidence-based policy insights for relevant departments.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will assist the Project Coordinator and Principal Investigator in:

• Data collection

• Field research and survey administration

• Statistical and quantitative analysis

• Literature review

• Preparation of research reports

• Research documentation

• Generating evidence-based policy insights

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree such as:

• M.Sc.

• M.Tech.

• MBA

• Data Science

• Engineering

• Statistics

• Operations Research

• Mathematics

• Business Analytics

• Operations Management

• Financial Analytics

The qualification should be from a recognised or reputed institution/university.

A Master’s degree from IITs, IIMs or NITs will be preferred.

Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Project Assistant / Associate or in a similar position involving research

• Experience in IIMs, IITs, TISS or government-funded research projects will be highly preferred

Desirable Skills

Candidates should preferably have:

• Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using STATA, R or Python

• Experience in primary data collection, survey administration and field research

• Strong writing skills for preparing research reports and documentation

• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi

• Willingness to travel extensively within the North-Eastern Railway division
