Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ISRO-RESPOND sponsored research project. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in structural health monitoring, optical sensing, and instrumentation research.

Project Title

Design and Development of Fiber Optic Based Vibration Measurement Structural Health Monitoring System with Signal Conditioner

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month + HRA (for the first two years)

• Free institute accommodation is available.

• No HRA will be paid if institute accommodation is availed.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Master's degree in:

  • Physics or Allied Areas

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering

• A consistently good academic record.

• Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates.

• Minimum 55% marks or CGPA 6.0/10 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

• CSIR-UGC-NET or GATE qualification at any time.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Good academic record and knowledge in the relevant area.

• Experience in experimental design and handling scientific instruments.

• Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.

Ph.D. Opportunity

The selected JRF will have the opportunity to register for a regular Ph.D. programme at IIITDM Kurnool, subject to fulfilling the institute's Ph.D. admission eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Work on the design and development of fiber optic vibration measurement systems.

• Contribute to structural health monitoring research using optical sensing technologies.

• Perform experiments, data analysis, instrumentation, and technical documentation.

• Assist in project implementation and research publications.
