The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ARDB-funded research project focused on metal additive manufactured parts for aero-engine applications made from superalloys.

Project Title: Metal Additive Manufactured Parts for Aero-Engine Applications

Project Duration: 6 months (extendable by an additional 6 months)

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month + HRA

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• M.E./M.Tech./M.S. (by Research) or Integrated PG Degree in:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Manufacturing Engineering

  • Product Design & Manufacturing

  • Materials Engineering

  • Equivalent disciplines

• Candidates must have obtained First Class in aggregate from a recognized technical institute/university through a full-time programme.

Desired Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Knowledge of Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF)-based Metal Additive Manufacturing

• Understanding of material testing, corrosion testing, and manufacturing processes

• Experience in documentation, report preparation, FEM simulations, and data analysis software

• Prior experience in laser powder bed fusion-based metal additive manufacturing

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and project requirements.

• Mere fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview.
