IIITDM Jabalpur Recruitment 2026: Junior Research Fellow

The PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur has invited online applications for one Junior Research Fellow position under an ISRO RESPOND and AI-sponsored research project.

Project Title

“Multi-Modal Satellite Image Registration”

Position Details

• Post: Junior Research Fellow

• Number of Vacancies: 01

• Appointment Type: Temporary

• Initial Duration: Six months

• Location: Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India

• Project Sponsor: ISRO RESPOND and AI

The appointment may be extended based on satisfactory performance and the availability of project funds.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• M.E., M.Tech., M.Sc. (Engineering), or an equivalent postgraduate degree with first class.

• A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA/CPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.

• A valid GATE qualification or CSIR-UGC NET qualification, including lectureship or Assistant Professorship eligibility.

Desirable Skills

Candidates with practical experience in MATLAB or Python programming will be preferred.

Age Limit

The maximum age is 28 years as of 17 August 2026.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules:

• Five years for SC/ST candidates.

• Three years for OBC candidates.

• Other applicable relaxations for ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities, widows, divorced women and judicially separated women.

Salary

The selected candidate will receive:

• INR 37,000 per month

• Campus accommodation or 20% HRA, as applicable.

PhD Opportunity

The selected Junior Research Fellow may have an opportunity to register for a regular PhD programme at IIITDM Jabalpur, subject to the institute’s rules and eligibility requirements.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on an interview.

The offline interview is scheduled for 28 August 2026 at the ECE Discipline, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
