The PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur has invited applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions under a Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India funded research project titled "Artificial Intelligence Enabled Kharif Season Cropland Mapping and Phenotype Monitoring using Multimodal Temporal Data."

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, and related disciplines to work on cutting-edge AI and remote sensing research.

Position Details

• Positions Available:

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01

  • Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 01

• Job Type: Temporary (Renewable annually based on satisfactory performance until project completion)

Fellowship

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): INR 42,000 per month + 20% HRA

Essential Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent Postgraduate Degree in:

  • Computer Science & Engineering

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Data Science

  • Information Technology

  • Or related disciplines

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Candidates should possess:

• Qualification prescribed for JRF, along with two years of research experience.

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Qualified GATE or CSIR-UGC NET (at any time in the recent past).

Age Limit

• JRF: Preferably below 35 years

• SRF: Preferably below 37 years

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

• Written Test

• Personal Interview

Note: Candidates who have qualified GATE/NET or similar national-level examinations may be exempted from the written test as per institute norms.

Only shortlisted candidates will be informed regarding the selection process.

PhD Opportunity

Selected candidates may have the opportunity to register for the PhD programme at IIITDM Jabalpur, subject to fulfilling the institute's eligibility criteria.

General Terms & Conditions

• The appointment is purely temporary and renewable annually based on satisfactory performance.

• The tenure will continue until project completion, whichever is earlier.

• Candidates must appear in person for the written test and interview.

• No TA/DA will be provided.

• Original educational certificates and supporting documents must be produced during the selection process.
