The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications for the position of Research Associate (RA) under a MeitY-sponsored research project titled “Development of Secure Post Quantum Public Key Infrastructure.”

The institute is seeking highly motivated candidates with expertise in cryptography, lattice-based cryptography, provable security, and mathematical foundations of cybersecurity to contribute to cutting-edge research in post-quantum cryptographic systems.

Position Details

About the Project

The project aims to develop a secure Post Quantum Public Key Infrastructure (PQ-PKI) capable of withstanding future quantum computing threats. The selected candidates will work on advanced cryptographic frameworks and contribute to the design and development of next-generation cybersecurity solutions.

Essential Qualification

Applicants must possess:

• Ph.D. in Cryptography or allied areas, OR

• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Strong academic record and research background.

• Knowledge of Public Key Cryptography, particularly Lattice-based Cryptography.

• Understanding of:

  • Provable Security

  • Linear Algebra

  • Probability Theory

  • Statistics

• Prior research experience in post-quantum cryptographic systems will be an added advantage.

Fellowship

• INR 58,000 per month

• House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per institute rules.

Duration of Appointment

• 09 Months
