The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad has invited applications for the post of Project Associate in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering under a sponsored research project. The project focuses on developing AI-integrated wearable sensor technology for continuous glucose monitoring and on-demand drug delivery.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech. with minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or

• M.E./M.Tech./M.S. (Research)/M.Sc. in:

  • Electronics Engineering

  • Applied Electronics

  • Nanotechnology

  • Embedded Systems

  • Applied Physics

  • Biomedical Instrumentation

  • Or any other relevant discipline

Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university/institute.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Advanced materials and wearable sensor fabrication

• Sensor and biomedical instrumentation

• Embedded systems development

• Signal acquisition and conditioning

• Analog and digital circuit design

• PCB design

• IoT-based system integration

• Prototype development

• AI/ML-based healthcare data analysis

• Intelligent wearable sensing applications

A valid GATE/NET qualification is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will contribute to the interdisciplinary research project by:

• Designing and developing wearable sensor systems.

• Fabricating and testing sensor devices.

• Performing data acquisition and signal processing.

• Conducting experiments and technical documentation.

• Preparing project reports and research publications.

• Supporting prototype development and project-related activities.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and invited for the Offline/Online Selection Process conducted by IIIT Dharwad.
