The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhagalpur, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a MeitY-sponsored Chip-to-Startup (C2S) Programme project.

An Efficient Low-Power FPGA-Accelerated Embedded 2D-Convolutional Neural Network Architecture for Real-Time Biomedical Imaging Applications

Funding Agency: Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY)
Programme: Chip-to-Startup (C2S) Programme (Category-III)

Position Details

• Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Number of Positions: 01

• Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Sinha

• Duration: Initially for one year, extendable for one additional year based on performance.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess either of the following:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or equivalent with minimum 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA; OR

• M.E./M.Tech in VLSI, Microelectronics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or equivalent with minimum 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Expertise in EDA tools

• Domain knowledge in VLSI

• Experience in Machine Learning/Deep Learning

• Knowledge of Embedded Systems

• GATE-qualified candidates will be preferred.

Fellowship

• Stipend: INR 37,000 per month + HRA

• Date: 08 July 2026

• Time: 11:00 AM onwards

• Venue: Conference Room, Academic Block, IIIT Bhagalpur

Important Instructions

• Candidates must bring original and self-attested photocopies of academic certificates, experience certificates (if any), publications (if any), and a valid photo identity proof.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test/interview.

• Employed candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of the interview.

• Selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon receiving the offer and may be encouraged to register for a Ph.D. programme based on performance.

• The appointment is purely temporary, and the fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice if performance is found unsatisfactory.
