The ICAR-IARI Rice Breeding & Genetics Research Centre, Aduthurai, has announced an opening for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This position is purely on a contractual and time-bound basis for a CSIR–ASPIRE research project.

Project Information

• Project Title: “Developing peptide barcodes of PUSA Basmati varieties and Hybrids for authentication and traceability”.

• Sponsoring Agency: CSIR – ASPIRE.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following with at least 55% marks and a passing NET/GATE test score:

• MSc in Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or Life Sciences.

• B.Tech in Biotechnology or an equivalent degree.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in plant proteins.

• Expertise in genomic and proteomic data analysis.

• Familiarity with machine learning.

• Work Location: ICAR-IARI Rice Breeding & Genetics Research Centre, Aduthurai, Tamil Nadu.

• Selection Process: Short-listed candidates will be invited for an online interview. Details regarding the date and time will be shared via email.
