ICAR-IARI Recruitment 2026: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position Under DBT-Funded Project

The Division of Seed Science and Technology, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded research project. Eligible candidates with a background in agricultural and life sciences are encouraged to apply.

• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Division: Seed Science and Technology

• Project: Development of a Rapid, Cost-Effective On-Farm Colorimetric Kit for Assessing Biofertilizers and Soil Health

• Principal Investigator: Dr. Vishwanath R. Yamalalle

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month + 27% HRA (as per DBT/ICAR norms)

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• A Master's degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university/institution in any of the following disciplines:

  • Agricultural Microbiology

  • Microbiology

  • Biotechnology

  • Seed Science and Technology

  • Agriculture

  • Botany

  • Plant Physiology

  • Or any other relevant basic science discipline

• Candidates must have qualified ICAR AICE-JRF, CSIR-UGC NET, or any equivalent National Level JRF Eligibility Test.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in handling:

  • Biofertilizers

  • Microbial cultures

  • Chromatographic techniques

  • Data analysis

• Good publication record in reputed national or international journals.
