ICAR–National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (ICAR-NIPB), New Delhi has invited applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a research project focused on developing resistant Indian mustard lines against powdery mildew using existing and novel mutant populations.

Project Title
Identification and Characterization of Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe cruciferarum) Resistance Using Existing and Novel Mutant Population of Indian Mustard (Brassica juncea)
Funding Agency
DAE-BRNS
Fellowship
INR 37,000 per month + HRA (for the first two years)
Project Duration
One year from the date of appointment or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
The tenure may be extended based on the fellow's performance and project requirements.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess one of the following:
Postgraduate degree in Plant Breeding, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or related disciplines with NET qualification.
OR
Postgraduate degree in the relevant disciplines without NET, provided the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria prescribed under national funding agency guidelines.
OR
Four-year Bachelor's degree or Postgraduate degree in professional courses with selection through any of the following:
CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship)
GATE
National-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IITs, IISc, IISER, etc.

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and invited for a Walk-in Interview as per the schedule mentioned in the official notification.
