Research Associate in Biodiversity and Pollution Modelling | Imperial College London Recruitment 2026
Imperial College London is inviting applications for the position of Research Associate in Biodiversity and Pollution Modelling at the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI), Imperial Business School. This exciting interdisciplinary opportunity is part of a Royal Society-funded research project exploring the ecological impacts of environmental and climate policies.
The position is ideal for researchers passionate about environmental economics, biodiversity science, climate policy, ecological modelling, and data-driven policy analysis.
About the Project
Governments worldwide are implementing policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but the broader ecological consequences of these interventions remain poorly understood.
This Royal Society-funded project aims to generate the first causal and monetised estimates of biodiversity impacts arising from the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). The research will integrate biodiversity science, air quality analysis, and climate policy within a broader planetary health framework.
The project seeks to improve understanding of how environmental regulations affect biodiversity and ecosystem health, helping inform future climate and environmental policy decisions.
