ICAR-IARI Recruitment 2026: Walk-in Interview for JRF and Laboratory Assistant Positions

The Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, invites eligible candidates to attend a Walk-in Interview for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Laboratory Assistant under a DBT-funded research project titled:

“Unravelling the genetic and toxigenic profile of aflatoxigenic Aspergillus species associated with maize in India and its management through non-toxigenic Aspergilli.”

The positions are purely contractual in nature.


Position Details

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Number of Posts: 01

  • Fellowship:

    • INR 37,000 + 27% HRA per month (First & Second Year)

    • INR 42,000 + 27% HRA per month (Third Year)

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • Postgraduate Degree in Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or any related Life Sciences discipline.

AND

Candidates should have been selected through:

  • CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship) and GATE

OR

  • National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies/institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

Desirable Qualification

  • Experience in plant pathology techniques.

  • Screening for disease resistance.

  • Molecular biology techniques.

  • Handling instruments such as Real-Time PCR.

  • Data analysis and interpretation.

  • Scientific report writing.

Age Limit

  • Maximum 35 years (relaxation as per Government rules).
