Hong Kong Polytechnic University Invites Applications for Multiple Research Positions in Electrocatalysis

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has invited applications for multiple Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Associate, and Research Assistant positions for a research project on Electrocatalytic Conversion of Small Molecules.

The appointments are initially for 12 months, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, and clean energy technologies.

Research Project

Electrocatalytic Conversion of Small Molecules

The selected candidates will assist the Project Leader in conducting research focused on developing advanced electrocatalytic processes for energy conversion and sustainable chemical production.

Key Responsibilities

The appointees will:

• Assist the Project Leader in implementing the research project.

• Conduct research in electrocatalysis and electrochemical energy conversion.

• Perform laboratory experiments and data analysis.

• Support research documentation, publications, and project deliverables.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams.

Eligibility Criteria

Postdoctoral Fellow

Applicants should have:

• A doctoral degree or equivalent qualification.

• No more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.

Research Associate

Applicants should have:

• A master's degree or a good honours degree.

• At least three years of research or relevant work experience.

Research Assistant

Applicants should have:

• An honours degree or an equivalent qualification.

Essential Experience (Applicable to All Positions)

Candidates should possess practical experience in:

• Electrochemistry

• Electrocatalysis

• Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Fuel Cells

Preferred Research Areas

Candidates with expertise in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
