The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has invited applications for Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate / Research Assistant positions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The selected candidate will work on the research project titled “Unraveling Fluid-Solid Interactions and Soft Propeller Mechanics through Quantitative Optical Imaging.”

Position Details

• Positions: Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate / Research Assistant

Project Area

The appointee will assist the Project Leader in research related to:

• Fluid-solid interactions

• Soft propeller mechanics

• Quantitative optical imaging

• Experimental fluid dynamics

• Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)

Eligibility Criteria

Postdoctoral Fellow

Applicants should have:

• A doctoral degree or equivalent qualification

• No more than 5 years of post-qualification experience at the time of application

Research Associate

Applicants should have:

• A master’s degree or a good honours degree

• At least 3 years of research or relevant work experience

Research Assistant

Applicants should have:

• An honours degree or equivalent qualification

For all posts, applicants should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Marine Engineering, along with experience in experimental fluid dynamics using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV).
