The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) invites eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune, Government of India-funded research project.

Project Title

“Evaluation of Sub-Seasonal Variability of Summer Monsoon over the Eastern Gangetic Plain, Specific to Bihar, in GFS/NCUM Models”

The project is funded by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune, and is valid up to 21 August 2028.

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess a first-class degree in any of the following or a related subject:

• M.Sc.

• M.Sc. (Tech.)

• M.Tech.

• M.S.

• Atmospheric Sciences

• Meteorology

• Ocean Sciences

• Geophysics

• Environmental Science

• Modelling and Simulation

Desirable Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or experience in:

• Weather and climate data analysis

• Linux

• Python

• MATLAB

• GrADS

• NCL

• CDO

• R software

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Monthly Emoluments

INR 37,000 per month plus 10% HRA

Total monthly remuneration will be approximately INR 40,700.
