The Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position convertible to PhD. The opportunity is aimed at candidates interested in advanced research in Wireless Communication, Space Communication, Quantum Communication and Security in Space Communication.

Position Overview

The selected JRF will have an opportunity to pursue research in areas including:

• Wireless Communication

• Space Communication

• Quantum Communication

• Security in Space Communication

The position is specifically linked to progression toward a PhD programme under the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech., and

• M.Tech./M.E.

in either:

• Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Computer Science and Engineering

Candidates must also possess a valid qualification in:

• GATE

• NET

• NET-JRF

as applicable.

PhD Opportunity

The candidate will be selected on the condition that they pursue a PhD under the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.

Selected candidates will:

• Be registered for PhD under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

• Conduct doctoral research under the mentorship of the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.

• Follow the applicable PhD rules of the Central University of Jammu.

Fellowship

First Two Years

INR 37,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per Central University of Jammu norms.

Third Year

If the project continues:

INR 42,000 per month + HRA

Contingency Provision

If the project is discontinued, the notice states that:

INR 25,000 per month may be provided from the University fund (IRG), subject to applicable conditions.
