Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani, Pilani Campus, invites applications from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Department of Telecommunications (Government of India) sponsored research project. The appointment is purely temporary and contractual, offering an excellent opportunity to work in the field of Quantum Communication and Optical Communication Systems.

Project Title

An Integrated Free Space and Underwater Optical Quantum Communication System

About the Project

The selected Junior Research Fellow will work on a cutting-edge research project focused on developing integrated free-space and underwater optical quantum communication systems.

The project involves:

• Development of quantum encryption algorithms.

• Mathematical modelling for quantum communication.

• Quantum system simulations.

• Experimental validation of integrated air-to-underwater quantum communication technologies.

• Performance comparison with existing models.

• Development of improved communication models.

• Publication of research findings in reputed journals.

• Presentation of work at conferences and contribution to patents.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess any of the following qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech.

• Electronics Engineering

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Information Theory

• Physics

• Electronics

• Computer Science

Preferred Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates who are:

• NET qualified

• GATE qualified

Ph.D. Registration Opportunity

Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the Ph.D. programme at BITS Pilani, subject to fulfilling the institute's Ph.D. admission requirements and eligibility criteria.
