Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad Campus invites applications from eligible candidates for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an ISRO-sponsored RESPOND Research Project. The project offers an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in space technology, thrust measurement systems, electronics, and interdisciplinary engineering research.

Recruitment Overview

Project Title

Development of Thrust Measurement System (TMS) for Measuring Pulse Mode Thrust for Pulse Width in the Range of 8ms/16ms/32ms/64ms etc.

The project focuses on the development of advanced thrust measurement systems for pulse-mode propulsion applications, contributing to cutting-edge aerospace and space technology research.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess any of the following degrees with at least 60% marks:

• M.E.

• M.S.

• M.Sc.

• M.Tech.

• M.Des.

• Equivalent degree in:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Applied Mechanics

  • Engineering Design

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  • VLSI

  • Microelectronics

  • Semiconductor Technology

  • Related disciplines

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

• Valid GATE score, OR

• Valid CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship/Lectureship), OR

• M.E./M.S./M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Des degree from an IIT, NIT, IISER, or any Central Government educational institution.

Desired Skills

Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge of:

• MATLAB

• Python

• LabVIEW

• Engineering simulations

• Semiconductor device fabrication

• Experimental research and instrumentation
