Project Title

Junior Research Fellow Eligibility

Candidates should possess an M.Tech. or M.Sc. degree with at least 60% marks in one of the following or a related discipline:

• Geospatial Sciences

• Applied Geography

• Geoinformatics

• Geomatics

• Geo-Informatics

Applicants must also have qualified NET, GATE, or another eligible national-level examination.

The upper age limit will be governed by DBT guidelines. Relaxation may be provided according to Government of India norms.

Project Associate-I Eligibility

Candidates should possess an M.Sc. degree with at least 60% marks in:

• Geospatial Sciences

• Applied Geography

• Geoinformatics

• Geomatics

• Geo-Informatics

• A related subject

If a suitable NET/GATE-qualified candidate is unavailable, a Project Associate-I may be appointed instead of a JRF.

Fellowship

Junior Research Fellow: INR 31,000 per month plus HRA

Project Associate-I: INR 25,000 per month plus HRA

The fellowship will be provided according to applicable Government of India and DBT rules.

Research Responsibilities

The selected candidate may contribute to:

• Processing optical and thermal sensor data

• Working with drone-based imagery

• Analysing hyperspectral datasets

• Developing deep learning models for crop-disease detection

• Geospatial mapping and data visualisation

• Field-data collection and validation

• Preparing research reports and publications

• Supporting interdisciplinary project activities
