The Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, invites applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under an Institution of Eminence (IoE)-BHU sponsored Bridge Grant Project. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• At least 55% marks in both B.Sc. and M.Sc.

• M.Sc. degree in any of the following disciplines:

  • Biochemistry

  • Biotechnology

  • Zoology

  • Molecular & Human Genetics

  • Life Sciences

  • Microbiology

  • Bioinformatics

• Minimum two years of research experience in the relevant subject area

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 32 years as on the last date of advertisement

• Age relaxation of 5 years for:

  • SC/ST candidates

  • Divyangjan candidates

  • Female candidates

• Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates as per Government of India norms

Nationality

• Applicants must be Indian citizens
