Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus invites applications from eligible and motivated candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a DRDO-funded research project. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in power electronics, electric drives, and electrical machine design to contribute to cutting-edge defence research.

Position Details

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess any of the following qualifications:

• M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
  OR

• M.E./M.Tech. in a relevant branch of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA from a recognized university/institute.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Have a valid GATE qualification.

• Possess strong knowledge of:

  • Power Electronics

  • Electric Drives

  • Electrical Machine Design

• Have hands-on experience in developing hardware prototypes for:

  • Special machine designs

  • Power electronic converters

  • Controllers

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Work on a DRDO-sponsored research project.

• Design and develop hardware prototypes.

• Contribute to research involving power electronics and electrical machines.

• Assist in testing, validation, and project implementation activities.
