Position Overview

The Associate Dean for Graduate Admissions, Career Development, and Alumni Relations plays a pivotal role in shaping the graduate student lifecycle—from prospective applicants to engaged alumni. The position provides leadership for:

  • Graduate student recruitment and admissions

  • Career development and professional programming

  • Alumni engagement and relationship management

  • Strategic outreach and communications

  • Coordination with global alumni networks and institutional partners

The Associate Dean serves as a member of the School's leadership team and works closely with faculty, administrative units, alumni, and external stakeholders to advance the School's mission and values.


Key Responsibilities

Graduate Admissions Leadership

  • Provide strategic oversight of graduate admissions and recruitment activities.

  • Collaborate with admissions staff and faculty committees on student selection processes.

  • Develop initiatives to attract a diverse and talented student body.

  • Ensure alignment of admissions practices with the School's mission and priorities.

Career Development and Student Success

  • Design and implement innovative career development programmes.

  • Support students' professional preparation in public and international affairs.

  • Build partnerships that expand career opportunities and experiential learning.

Alumni Relations and Engagement

  • Develop and implement alumni engagement strategies.

  • Strengthen relationships with Princeton SPIA's global alumni community.

  • Coordinate communications and outreach initiatives with alumni networks.

Strategic Partnerships and Outreach

  • Collaborate with the School's centres and programmes, faculty, and administrative units.

  • Engage with international institutions, agencies, and external partners.

  • Ensure alignment of outreach efforts with recruitment, academic, and career development goals.

Reporting Structure

The Associate Dean reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Administration and serves as a key member of the School's leadership team.
