The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited applications from eligible faculty members for the position of Deputy Director. The appointment will be made from amongst senior professors of the institute in accordance with the provisions of the NIT Act and Statutes.

Position Details

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

• Must be a Professor currently serving at NIT Kurukshetra.

• Should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as Professor.

• Must not be more than 60 years of age at the time of application.

• Should have served for at least 2 years as Head of Department (HoD) or Dean.

• Must have made significant contributions in:

  • Academics

  • Administration

  • Outreach activities

• Should be an eminent academic with an outstanding record in their field of specialization.

Selection Process

The appointment of the Deputy Director will be made from amongst the senior faculty members of the institute based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee, as per the provisions under the applicable NIT Statutes.
