About DIA-RCoE

DRDO has partnered with IISc Bengaluru to establish the DRDO Industry Academia – Raman Centre of Excellence (DIA-RCoE) to promote advanced and multidisciplinary technology research in collaboration with academic researchers, startups, industries, and institutions across India.

The centre focuses on the following research areas:

• Aerospace Systems Design & Characterization

• Aerospace Structural Materials

• Advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

• High Temperature Materials for Aero Engines

• Micro & Nano Systems Science and Technology

• Artificial Intelligence & Autonomous Systems

• Quantum Phenomena and Device Technology

• Strategic Technology Studies

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected Director will act as the administrative and executive head of DIA-RCoE and will be responsible for:

• Strategic guidance and overall management of the centre

• Developing long-term research and technology roadmaps

• Ensuring smooth execution of DRDO-supported projects

• Facilitating industry collaborations and technical agreements

• Coordinating with DRDO, industries, and academia

• Organizing workshops, seminars, and brainstorming sessions

• Promoting technology translation and dissemination activities

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with suitable academic qualifications, administrative expertise, and significant experience in advanced technology research and management may apply.

Salary Details

For Non-Government Employees

• INR 1,75,000 to INR 2,00,000 per month (based on experience)

For Retired Government Employees

Salary will be governed as per:

• Old Pension Scheme (OPS) norms

• New Pension Scheme (NPS) norms

• Applicable DoE guidelines and pension adjustment rules
