Role Overview

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), a premier global management institution, is officially seeking applications and nominations for the position of Dean (Undergraduate Programme). As IIMB expands its academic footprint into elite undergraduate education, the Dean will play a foundational role in shaping the strategic vision, curriculum architecture, and institutional excellence of the undergraduate track.

The Dean will provide administrative, academic, and strategic leadership, ensuring the programme aligns with IIMB's rigorous standards of scholastic distinction and holistic student development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute the long-term vision, growth roadmap, and institutional positioning for the Undergraduate Programme.

• Curriculum & Academic Governance: Oversee the development of contemporary, multi-disciplinary course structures, ensuring high-quality academic delivery and pedagogy.

• Faculty & Resource Management: Coordinate with departmental chairs to deploy teaching assets, foster innovative learning methodologies, and support faculty engagement.

• Student Ecosystem: Oversee admissions frameworks, student welfare systems, campus integration, and experiential learning tracks.

• Institutional Alignment: Represent the undergraduate school across statutory boards, corporate partners, and global academic alliances, keeping in sync with IIMB's broader mission.

Desired Profile & Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Credentials: An outstanding scholar with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from a premier national or international institution, possessing an exemplary track record of research and publications.

• Experience Parameters: Must be a senior academician (at the level of Professor or equivalent) with significant experience in academic administration, curriculum design, and institutional leadership.

• Leadership Competencies: Proven capability to lead large-scale academic initiatives, manage diverse stakeholder ecosystems, and implement cross-functional institutional strategies.

• Visionary Track: Prior exposure to managing premium undergraduate programs or designing multi-disciplinary foundational paths is highly desirable.
