The role requires an academic who can work effectively with students studying in English and contribute actively to the University’s research and teaching objectives.

Eligibility and Experience

Applicants are expected to have:

  • A PhD in Economics or a closely related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience teaching both large and small groups of students

  • Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language

  • An established academic publication record

  • Strong research credentials appropriate to the academic level applied for

  • Ability to contribute effectively to postgraduate and PhD supervision

An understanding of China and Chinese culture would be considered advantageous.
