📋 Overview of Role

The Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri invites applications for the position of Department Chair. The successful candidate will provide academic and administrative leadership while maintaining an active research programme, contributing to service, and teaching undergraduate and/or master's-level courses with a reduced teaching load for administrative responsibilities.

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship, although applicants from other management disciplines, including Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Supply Chain Management, are encouraged to apply.

🎓 Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: PhD from an AACSB-accredited business school or another closely related programme in a relevant discipline.

• Academic Rank: Candidates must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.

• Research Profile: Strong scholarly record in management and/or related fields, demonstrated through publications in top-tier academic journals.

• Leadership Experience: Prior administrative experience and demonstrated ability to lead academic teams are strongly preferred.

• Teaching Expertise: Understanding of contemporary teaching practices in both in-seat and online modalities.

• Curriculum Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of curriculum development and experiential learning.

• Preferred Specializations: Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship; candidates from Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, and other management disciplines are also encouraged to apply.

• Tenure Requirement: Candidates must be able to meet the standards for tenure within the Trulaske College of Business.
