About the Position

The LSA Opportunity Hub seeks a dedicated educator to teach two career-focused undergraduate courses during the Fall 2026 semester:

  • ALA 125: Positioning Yourself for a Successful Internship

  • ALA 325: Putting Your Education to Work

The role focuses on helping students connect classroom learning with internships, career exploration, employer engagement, and professional success while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach two half-term, one-credit undergraduate courses.

  • Facilitate student learning related to career readiness and experiential education.

  • Help students connect liberal arts education with career aspirations.

  • Encourage student engagement, inclusivity, and belonging.

  • Support experiential learning through internship and professional development preparation.

  • Collaborate with the LSA Opportunity Hub and campus partners to enhance student success.


Essential Qualifications

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills.

  • Experience in career development, experiential learning, student success, or related areas.

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

  • Ability to connect academic learning with professional development opportunities.
