Tezpur University, Assam, invites applications for one Assistant Professor position on a contractual basis in the Department of Civil Engineering. The appointment will initially be for 11 months or until the regular vacancy is filled, whichever is earlier. It may be extended depending on institutional requirements and satisfactory performance.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• B.E., B.Tech. or B.S.; and

• M.E., M.Tech., M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in a relevant branch.

Candidates must have secured first class or an equivalent grade in at least one of the qualifying degrees.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Hold a PhD in a relevant branch or specialisation.

• Are capable of teaching the Engineering Graphics course.

Monthly Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive a fixed remuneration of INR 80,000 per month. No additional allowances will be provided.

Selection Process

Candidates may be shortlisted based on their academic qualifications and experience. The academic score prescribed under the UGC Regulations, 2018 will be used only for shortlisting, while final selection will be based on performance in the physical interview.
