Eligibility & Qualifications
Criteria | Description |
Essential Qualification | A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in Humanities and Social Sciences or Media and Cultural Studies or Film Making, Design, Fine Arts, and allied fields from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. |
Eligibility Exam / Ph.D. | Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET. Alternatively, candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Candidates with a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU) are also eligible. |
Desirable | A Ph.D. in the relevant field. Two years of experience in either academic or industry roles. |
Important Conditions
The posts are unreserved, but candidates belonging to the reserved categories are welcome to apply.
Candidates who are currently under employment must produce a 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer to appear for an interview.
Merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and requisite experience does not entitle a person to be called for the interview.
The Institute reserves the right to invite persons for interviews who may not have applied as per the procedure and not to fill up the vacancy advertised.
