Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualifications, professional experience, credit requirements and other eligibility conditions will be governed by:

• Schedule E of the NIT Statutes, as amended in 2017.

• The Government of India Gazette Notification dated 24 July 2017.

• Subsequent amendments and applicable recruitment rules.

Applicants must possess the required academic qualifications and PhD specialisation prescribed for the relevant department. Candidates whose qualifications or area of specialisation do not meet the stated requirements may be disqualified during scrutiny.

Reservation

Reservation for candidates with benchmark disabilities will be applicable according to Government of India rules. Candidates applying under OBC-NCL or EWS categories must submit valid certificates issued on or after 1 April 2026.

Selection Process

Applications will be scrutinised based on the prescribed minimum qualifications, experience, academic credentials and required areas of specialisation.

The institute may adopt suitable shortlisting criteria and restrict the number of candidates invited for interview.
