The department is seeking a qualified candidate with strong practical experience in journalism and digital media.

The selected faculty member may be required to teach courses such as:

• Media writing

• Digital storytelling

• Documentary filmmaking

• Mobile journalism

• Data journalism

• Investigative journalism

• Multimedia reporting

• General mass communication courses

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Teach journalism and digital media courses in Arabic

• Contribute to curriculum development

• Keep course content aligned with current trends in journalism and digital media

• Supervise graduation projects

• Guide students towards internships and employment opportunities

• Use professional networks and industry experience to support student development

• Participate in departmental, college and university committees

• Perform other academic or administrative duties assigned by the department

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess one of the following:

• PhD from a highly reputable international university, or

• Master’s degree combined with significant professional experience

Candidates should also have at least 10 years of outstanding practical professional experience in reputable media institutions.

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Ability to teach in Arabic

• Strong professional experience in journalism and digital media

• Evidence of scholarly, creative or professional activity

• Experience in professional training and skill development

• Expertise in applied journalism practices

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
